Our client, a fiancial services giant, is seeking a Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager to help with crucial business operations within an established and emerging FinTech corporation.
This role will work on a hybrid schedule, 3x's a week in the Downtown Chicago Area.
This role is essential for GRC within Business Operations and Corporate Risk Management. It aims to develop initiatives that improve processes and controls, including exam and findings management, change management, and reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team to strengthen the control environment through collaboration with various departments and defense lines.
- Managing documentation related to governance, procedures, and job aids.
- Overseeing the findings and remediation process to identify root causes and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Engaging in regulatory compliance discussions and presenting findings.
- Creating training materials to foster the development of junior team members.
- Actively identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency in business processes.
- Advising on internal and external exam requests and related issues.
- Mentoring staff to enhance the control infrastructure and drive business operation improvements.
Requirements:
- Required : Experience with internal controls, risk assessment strategies, audit methodologies, and project management.
- Required : Experience with GRC software such as Archer.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines of varying priority simultaneously.
- Strong administrative and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills, including expertise in data analytics and reporting.
- Strong experience with regulatory audits.
