This position resides in the Citi Retail Services Partner Delivery Management team responsible for Existing Card Member (ECM) strategies for Citi Retail Services. The team is responsible for implementing the Credit Risk Strategy Implementation for Customer Service Offers for all Customer-Services channels. The incumbent will lead a delivery team which is responsible for developing APIs and framework to implement ECM strategies across the Retail Services’ private label and cobrand. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in a large, financial or risk management organization within a major consumer card, financial services, retailing or consulting business. This individual will bring a strong analytical orientation, familiarity with operations and regulations. The candidate is also required to have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills which will help in successful collaboration of the Risk Policy and Operations teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership for various business initiatives throughout the project lifecycle to support requirements and consult on solutions.

  • Code, test and execute the requirements for complex Reactive Credit Line Increase, Marketing campaign and non-marketing activities.

  • Consult on Risk Strategy Implementation and create automated solutions to streamline the strategy execution. Develop solutions to solve or fulfill the business requirements.

  • Execution of special projects to drive portfolio sales and revenue. Contribute and have the ability to create project documentation to support related activities such as creating business requirements, project plans, decision documentation, testing documentation, as well as process and procedural materials.

  • Responsible for timely review, research and resolution of Marketing and Credit Line Increase related issues that occur throughout the business.

  • Accountable for reviewing and evaluating quality assurance testing and processes to ensure aligned with the appropriate governance controls; ensure issues are addressed as depicted by the service level agreements (SLA) and the controls are outlined within the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) processes.

  • Support internal and external audits and walk-throughs as required. Ensure understanding and adherence to the regulatory requirements for the related activities.

  • Understand critical data processes and technology components within the defined processes; identifying critical gaps and/or opportunities. Provide conversion and data mapping support. Develop trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners.

  • Day-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes

  • Role at this level usually has full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables

  • May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience with design and development for Java/J2EE Client/Server applications.

  • 5+ year of experience working with Rule engines like Drools/JBoss BRMS.

  • 5+ years with relational databases and JDBC/SQL expertise.

  • 3+ years of experience with Hibernate and Spring

  • Strong UNIX or Linux knowledge.

  • Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skill

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and communicate effectively to clients, management and other departments.

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency

  • Working experience in banking/credit card Industry.

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Master’s degree preferred
