Installation Service Technician

We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Installation & Service Technician to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Installation & Service Technician at Sonitrol , you will be responsible for installing burglar, fire alarm, door access control and surveillance systems according to the procedures established by Sonitrol of Anderson.

• Develops a complete understanding of the proper technique for installing, servicing and maintaining security, fire, surveillance and door access control systems.
• Completes installations as scheduled and coordinated by the Installation/Service manager.
• Completes all service orders as scheduled.
• Completes all paperwork associated with the installation and servicing of subscriber systems.
• Ensures that vehicle stock is maintained and reports inventory requirements to the proper personnel.
• Assists in the training of all new technical personnel as directed.
• Maintains and operates assigned vehicles in accordance with company policy.
• Performs equipment testing procedures as necessary.
• Ensures the storage and equipment inventory area are clean and orderly.
• Provides building maintenance as needed.
• Inspects new installations as directed.
• Pre-surveys future installations as directed by the Installation/Service manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school Diploma required.
• Associate’s degree in Electronics preferred.
• Networking, telco and internet experience is a plus.
• Experience working with Alarm Systems is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Clean MVR.
• Valid Driver’s License.

HOURS:

• Monday through Friday – 8AMto 5PM
• Periodic on-call shifts required after 6 months.
