Logistics Coordinator
Your responsibilities
  • Updates shipping list & schedules
  • Coordinates minor shipments incl. Spares and FQRs
  • Prepares shipping documentation & instructions
  • Arranges re-shipment inspection if required
  • Coordinates deliveries of equipment
  • Keeps contact with suppliers to ensure delivery of required documentation
  • Checks incoming documentation and forwards to specialist for approval
  • Assists in checking and approving invoices from vendors
  • Issues and submits debit notes with supporting documents as instructed
  • Obtains necessary information on import documentation and arranges the necessary import certificates as and when required
  • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company's operational activities
  • Performs daily tasks of shipping department based on assigned work area.
  • Efficiently and safely load and unload trucks, trailers, or containers using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks)
  • Verify and confirm the accuracy of outbound shipments by checking against packing lists, invoices, or other shipping documents.
  • Affix shipping labels, barcodes, or other identifying markers to packages or pallets. Complete necessary shipping documentation and ensure it is accurate and complete.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors or quality control personnel as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocol
What you bring
  • Knowledge of DOT Laws and basic loading principles.
  • Ability to review and interpret Packing List, bills of lading, customer orders.
  • Ability to use various hand tools, power tools, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
  • Ability to read, interpret and communicate safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Ability to work well with others and train in a team environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, apply basic trigonometry and geometry concepts
  • Proficiency in a variety of software programs including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Outlook, Excel, UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, etc
  • HAZMAT training for handling of hazardous goods.
