Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated General Merchandise Lead and Health and Beauty Lead to join our team! These positions are leadership roles that require the ability to plan, organize, and deliver positive results based on multiple factors characteristic to the retail industry. The Lead must multi-task in a fast-paced environment, provide superior customer service, train and lead others, and engage in a moderate to high level of physical activity.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform accurate daily receiving of product deliveries.
2. Monitor and organize all backroom activity for a systematic process of product movement from Truck to Shelf.
3. In coordination with Owner/Operator, inventory on hand product levels and mix for the GM/HABA department; use available tools to order product that meets the inventory levels for expected sales while limiting shrink, includes a variety of product mix, and meets or exceeds the set SKU count, profit margin, and sales goals.
4. In coordination with Owner/Operator, plan, create, and sustain multiple displays utilizing Grocery Outlet’s merchandising and marketing direction, including cross merchandising with other departments.
5. Verify product quality and quantity received compared to Transfer, document and communicate any overs, shorts, or quality credits to Owner/Operator.
6. Systematically rotate and stock and lead others to rotate and stock all GM/HABA loads in a clean, organized fashion.
7. Perform daily quality checks of product to maintain maximum freshness and quality on display.
8. Execute price changes as required.
9. Support price integrity with daily updates of shelf tags and signage.
10. Direct, train, lead, and collaborate with other team members.
11. Perform any and all duties in any department or capacity as needed to fulfill the needs of the business.
12. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all personnel, and both internal and external customers.
13. Uphold all policies and procedures as outlined in the policies and procedures manual.
14. Protect the goodwill and reputation of the Grocery Outlet Brand and the Independent Owner/Operator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
