LHH is partnering with a construction company located in El Cajon to hire a Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, specifically within the construction industry. This role involves managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including posting payments, generating invoices, handling credit memos, collections, AR aging, reconciliations, variance analysis, and assisting during month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Post payments and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Generate and send invoices for billing purposes.
  • Process credit memos and adjustments as needed.
  • Manage collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Maintain and update AR aging reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain differences.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable.
  • Experience in the construction industry is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with construction accounting software preferred (e.g., Procore, Textura, Sage, Foundation, BuilderTrend, Vista Viewpoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
