Pay Range: $58,000-$82,000
What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
- Prepare sales, use, property tax return data and work at supervisor's direction to ensure returns are properly completed and filed and the tax is timely paid (working with Tempur Treasury)
- Research relevant sales and use tax issues and work with supervisor(s) to assist in the development of responses to tax authority inquiries.
- Maintain records of all tax exemption certificates
- Provide supervisors support with respect to ensuring that all domestic business license filings are timely filed with the appropriate local jurisdictions and the fee is timely paid (working with Tempur Treasury) and accounted for properly.
- Provide supervisors with support to provide data for annual reports and state business registration and ensure all filings are timely filed with the appropriate state and local jurisdictions.
- Prepare (as needed) basic and eventually mid-level complexity income tax returns and extensions and work with others in the Tax department and the Treasury group to facilitate the payment of income tax payments.
- Assist supervisors with audits and projects.
- Assist with obtaining tax credits and incentives.
- Provide state tax information to other departments within the company with review by supervisor(s)
- Maintain tax basis depreciation schedules on a quarterly basis, as well as the rolling calculation of deductible charitable contributions.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly income tax provisions, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferably in Accounting)
- CPA and/or MBA, a plus
- Limited domestic travel may be required.
