We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our award-winning team to help build relationships with our customer's professional outside sales team. This is a remote position (working from home), however, the ideal candidate should be centrally located in the Chicago, IL area. This desired location will help to achieve optimum sales potential. Requirements

  1. Add value, build sales presentations, and engage in joint sales calls with our customer to the end user.
  2. Be customer-centric and adept at handling customer inquiries.
  3. Be the liaison between our customer and end user.
  4. Build solid and trustworthy relationships with regional sales leaders and associates by equipping them with product knowledge through training to build confidence when selling our products.
  5. Enter and update sales/potential sales thru a CRM (Customer Relationship Management; i.e. - SalesForce) on a timely basis.
  6. Meet all goals set forth by management.
  7. Must be consistent with following up on leads/opportunities and take the necessary steps to assist the customer.
  8. Must be of a learning mindset, constantly learning to build and maintain product and industry knowledge.
  9. Report to and work directly to the Vice President of Sales – Pro.

Education

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field preferred.
  2. Equivalent # of years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Knowledge & Skills

  1. 2 - 4 years' proven track record of sales experience and/or account management.
  2. Ability to educate and facilitate the closing of warm leads.
  3. Ability to operate both independently and as a member of a team.
  4. Flooring experience strongly preferred but not required.
  5. Interior design knowledge a plus but not required.
  6. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to change direction quickly.
  7. Must possess high energy, be a good time manager, and possess very strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  9. Strong listening, written and oral communication skills: comfortable presenting to all levels of management.

Working Conditions

  1. General working hours are Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm. Additional hours required including evenings and weekends based upon business demands.
  2. Must be able to demonstrate flooring installation when needed.
  3. Must be able to work in a professional office, and/or industrial/warehouse setting, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, or walking with frequency with the ability to lift up to 50 - 75 lbs.
  4. Must be able to work productively, unsupervised at home.
  5. Must be able to travel on a frequent basis (daytime/overnight) to attend customer and industry events/tradeshows, customer visits, training sessions, etc.
