A part-time position (25-32 hours per week) is now available in our center offering the opportunity to provide breakthrough behavioral health care treatments including TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and Spravato (esketamine therapy) to patients with depression and other mental health disorders. Lenox Hill Mind Care is seeking an individual who will be certified to administer and support patient treatment under the supervision of our medical directors, staff physicians, and management team.
Overview
We are looking for an empathetic and motivated Patient Care Coordinator to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Spravato (Esketamine) follow up, and general medical office support. In this role, you will be responsible for all administrative aspects of patient encounters including initial communication or intake, scheduling, managing patient check-in and check-out, obtaining and tracking insurance authorizations, administering psychiatric rating scales, medication refills. The candidate will be working with excellent providers and is expected to work as a team with excellent, compassionate, and professional service.
Responsibilities
Clinical
• Administer TMS treatments and Spravato (esketamine) treatments according to specific providers protocols: preparing the TMS medical device, as applicable; reviewing all medication/treatment administration information with each patient; monitoring all aspects of TMS or esketamine treatment to ensure patient wellbeing and clinical accuracy; and taking patient vitals before esketamine treatment, 40 mins after administration, and prior to patient release.
• Delivering exceptional patient care at all times by demonstrating empathy, developing trust, utilizing reflecting listening, and providing support to a vulnerable patient population.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort throughout treatment.
• Reviewing and administering psychiatric rating scales to patients to benchmark treatment progress and ensure continuity of care.
• Recording all treatment session notes and documents in EHR, collaborating with other team members and/or providers as needed.
Administrative
• Greets patients as they arrive and leave the office.
• Accurately maintain schedules, patients' demographics, and insurance information.
• Answer phone and respond to email inquiries from current and prospective patients.
• Provides general administrative support for physicians and other office personnel as needed.
• Adheres to all HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
• Maintain understanding of general insurance, prior authorizations, and billing procedures to support related workflows and requests, as required.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of experience working in a patient care or mental health office setting.
• High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Medical Assistant or other clinical certification may be considered with additional years of applicable work experience.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience in a patient care or mental health office setting.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Biological Sciences is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Google Suite products (Sheets, Docs, Calendar)
• Basic Life Support Certification - will be provided

This position will primarily work out of the Upper East Side, NY center but candidate should be willing travel to the Scarsdale center as needed. While our normal business hours are M-F 10am - 6pm, we need availability from 9:30am - 6:30pm as our hours of operation are flexible and varying depending on our patients' needs.
We offer a competitive pay range of $25 - $28/hour (based on education level and prior experience) plus a generous benefits package including paid time off and medical/dental/vision benefits.
