Job Description

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Director, Business Development (BD) reporting to the Vice President, Business Development. The Director of BD manages the business development lifecycle management process and functions supporting revenue growth. He identifies, qualifies, and pursues new business (NB) opportunities in EIT, IC, cyber services, engineering, and professional services.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational and strategic business opportunities to Bid/No Bid.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships management initiatives to enhance customer engagement and attain optimum Pwin.
  • Develop and manage segmented pipeline valued at $200M.
  • Develop Go To Market and customer engagement strategies designed to achieve annual revenue of $5M.
  • Support strategic captures ($50M+ or as assigned) including assisting Capture during early shaping, Blue Team, and customer engagement.
  • Identify and analyze market trends and opportunities for business growth.
  • Develop and present Gate review artifacts to company executives for approval.
  • Manage, track and oversee actionable BD KPIs (Deal Flow, Pipeline Aging, Opportunity Velocity, Qualification Rate, etc.) to support pipeline health.
  • Target, pursue, and qualify winnable opportunities valued at $25M.
  • Collaborate with SAEs, portfolio management, and capture lead(s) to develop customer-focused, responsive, winning proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of BD experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong experience, networking, and engagement in US Navy and specifically Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic/Pacific is preferred.
  • Deep experience and demonstrated success leveraging SeaPortNxG and STARS III contract vehicles is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead matrix multi-disciplined teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate tasks and objectives to varying audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with GWAC task order process is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Normal office environment. Travel up to 30% in support of BD efforts.
