What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Develop and maintain Cloudflare's distributed coordination API and SQL database
2. Ensure continual reliability and best-in-class performance of Cloudflare's products
3. Implement new features and functionality to enhance Cloudflare's capabilities
4. Own code from inception to release, delivering solutions across the software stack
5. Interact with various languages and technologies including JavaScript, Typescript, Rust, and C++

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Minimum 5 years of experience working with distributed systems or developing on cloud platforms
2. Experience managing high-volume software applications
3. Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
4. Knowledge of modern strongly-typed programming languages such as Go, Java, C#, Rust, or C++

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Previous experience working on database internals, such as a SQL query planner
2. Deep understanding of web technologies like web browsers, HTTP, JavaScript, and WebAssembly
3. Experience in low-latency real-time environments
4. Experience debugging and optimizing large-scale Linux-based distributed systems
