The Engagement Manager will own a portfolio of 2000-2500 donors focused on raising gifts between $1,000 and $5,000. Your goal is to steward and renew donors in your portfolio (Club One), find ways to increase their support of PragerU, and, when applicable, qualify and refer donors to our gift officers, both mid-level and major gifts, and the planned giving team.

An ideal candidate must be comfortable in a heavy, outbound development environment , have a bright personality, and be fearless of rejection! You will engage donors via phone, email, and text to reach weekly, quarterly, and annual activity targets and fundraising goals. This position will raise between $1 million and $2 million annually.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reaching out to new and existing donors primarily on the phone, with weekly activity goals for calls made, emails/texts sent, appointments made, and solicitations/asks
  • Screen and qualify existing online donors to identify high-capacity supporters and prospect for potential new donors
  • Update records to ensure key donors are being stewarded and to maintain record of funds raised
  • Document donor efforts in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT (CRM system)
  • Liaise and coordinate with the broader in-house development team (data, events, other fundraisers)

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • Your worldview is rooted in the principles of PragerU
  • 2-5 years of professional work experience
  • Background in fundraising is preferred, but previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, or marketing will also be considered
  • Experience with a customer relationship management database preferred
  • Thrive in a role where you are expected to meet aggressive weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual targets and goals
  • Self-starter, highly ethical, with a can-do attitude
  • Superb verbal and interpersonal skills - no fear of rejection!
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to quickly connect with people by phone–you need to be a people person
  • Must be an excellent listener
  • Flexibility to move between different projects and activities with ease
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to quickly learn about PragerU content and know how and when to teach donors about PragerU
  • Thrive in a collaborative working environment with other teams and departments

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise and the most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance and our robust benefits package.
