About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is an government contractor in Dulles, VA who has been around for 50+ years!
• Due to an project, they are looking to bring on a temporary Payroll Specialist!
• Duration: 1 month
• Pay: $30-33/hr depending on experience.
• Schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00a-5:30p.

Overview of the Payroll Specialist role:

• Responsible for assisting in the processing, monitoring, and reviewing of the semi-monthly payroll system.
• Multi-state payroll.
• Review, batch, and process timecards.
• Assist in the review of employee change forms.
• Update and maintain accurate payroll files and records.
• Review and distribute payroll reports as needed.
• Upload payroll and accruals to the financial system.
• Assist with payroll disbursements including taxes, retirement plans, etc.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

• 5+ years of payroll specialist experience
• ADP experience is a must
• Extremely organized, able to multi-task effectively and attentive to detail
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to work independently
• Fast and accurate data entry required
