Senior Specialty Representative - Respiratory Biologics - San Francisco, CA

Territory covers: San Francisco, East Bay and up 101 to Eugene, OR.

Candidate MUST live in CA. No relocation assistance provided for this position.

What you will do

The Senior Specialty Representative acts as the primary customer contact and is responsible for driving marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager.

  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products to medical professionals.
  • Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages and driving planned programs.
  • Use internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues.
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Build and sustain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and engage in continuous learning.
  • Leverage knowledge of disease states and industry changes to deliver agreed results.

What we expect of you

The sales professional we seek is a go-getter with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience
  • OR
  • Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience
  • OR
  • High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
