Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Tax Senior Associate for their Atlanta office. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality tax compliance and consulting services. As a Senior Associate, you’ll lead complex engagements, mentor junior staff, and drive results that add significant value to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns, including S-Corporation, C-Corporation, partnership, multistate, and individual filings.
  • Conduct initial reviews of Staff-prepared tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop income tax projections and prepare estimated calculations for clients.
  • Perform in-depth tax research and draft clear, concise technical memoranda.
  • Prepare work papers for book-to-tax differences and address technical tax issues.
  • Refine expertise in a specialized area of taxation, enhancing technical knowledge and skills.
  • Build strong, effective relationships with clients and team members.
  • Identify potential tax issues early in the engagement planning process.
  • Communicate professionally with the IRS and state tax authorities when necessary.
  • Mentor and train Staff and Interns, providing valuable feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding project progress and milestones.
  • Actively participate in both attending and facilitating professional development and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of tax experience.
  • Advanced understanding of federal and state tax regulations for individual and business taxation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong dedication to professional and client service excellence.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
