Job Summary: Design, test, install and maintain electrical systems and equipment on machinery or products. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments while applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • In addition to electrical and electronic duties it is expected that this position will include proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical principals to help design and troubleshoot the systems both at the factory and in the field.
  • Develop electrical systems and devices and test them for safety and efficiency.
  • Manage the manufacturing/design process for new electrical equipment using design software to produce schematics.
  • Support the installation process of your designs.
  • Inspect electrical components during and after the product installation.
  • Testing electronics for problems and proposing solutions.
  • Understand and implement design from technical specifications, along with input from distributors, customers, Sales or Service.
  • Interact with distributors and customers using verbal and written communication.
  • Create accurate product documentation and records.
  • Develop software for machine control systems and displays.
  • Evaluate electrical system, products, components and applications.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced mathematical skills for calculation of design equations
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers.
  • Writing skills for preparing manuals, parts lists, proposals, and design documentation
  • Self-motivation to keep up with current electrical advances using new technologies.
  • Ability to use industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronics.
  • Understanding of mechatronics and teletronics
  • Diagnosing CAN bus equipment.
  • Working knowledge of CodeSys, J1939 and CAD Software
  • Ability to analyze information and/or use logic to solve problems.
  • Understanding of robotics and automation

5 to 7 years of experience in Electrical/electronic troubleshooting
