We are seeking a qualified and dynamic candidate to join our team! This is an opportunity for candidates who have knowledge of safety procedures, protocols, documentation, OSHA regulations and want to become experts in this area. Our ideal candidate will have wide exposure in the construction industry.

Job Description:

  1. Prepare new or updated Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans.
  2. Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee/employer compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of safety.
  4. Develop and implement a system to report, monitor, and correct safety problems.
  5. Prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, compliance, and business efficiency.
  7. Investigate incidents to discover root cause and work with each department lead when necessary.
  8. Collaborate with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) representatives and internal safety staff during formal plant audits and inspections; documents corrective actions taken.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Associate or four-year college degree; or two to three years minimum related experience and/or training.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  6. Ability to conduct training.
  7. Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  8. Bilingual preferred.
