Landmark Builders is seeking a full-time Project Engineer in its Columbia, SC office.

Job Summary
The Project Engineer position represents a first step towards becoming a Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and more with Landmark Builders. This person will be stationed on a commercial construction site, where they will assist, support, and learn from the Project Superintendent and Project Manager. Project Engineers will gain construction experience, technical expertise, communication skills, confidence, and leadership ability while serving as a valued contributor to the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in completion of daily construction reports and related records.
- Participate in takeoff, pricing, and ordering of miscellaneous materials.
- Perform miscellaneous hands-on construction tasks as needed.
- Assist in preparation and implementation of detailed two-week look ahead schedules.
- Participate in weekly subcontractor progress meetings and regular owner/architect meetings, assisting Project Managers with meeting minutes as necessary.
- Assist with submittal and RFI processes.
- Assist in maintaining Landmark quality control and safety standards.
- Maintain open lines of communication with Project Manager, Project Superintendent, field staff, architects, subcontractors, etc., keeping the entire team informed of project issues and changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
- Previous construction experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-oriented focus
