Software Engineer

Education: A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Information Systems or a closely related field.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop an automation test framework for microservices to validate the JSON response body using Cucumber and Spring Boot.
• Work with Apache Maven to define project structure, dependencies, build, and test management.
• Automate the process of connecting to Splunk, running search queries, retrieving results, and performing assertions on the data using Splunk SDKs and Java.
• Analyze automation regression test results, track defects, and generate reports using Cucumber extent reports.
• Write SQL statements and stored procedures for database validations using JDBC connections.
• Configure automation scripts in a Continuous Integration environment using Jenkins to run tests nightly.
• Work in an Agile environment and test the application using SCRUM methodology.
• Use Atlassian Bitbucket as a version control repository to maintain code changes.
• Participate actively in requirements gathering and sprint planning sessions to analyze user stories in the product backlog.
• Ensure overall quality assurance throughout the application development cycle and deliver a quality product.
• Design test plans, test documentation, and requirements traceability matrices to test the application.
• Partner with developers to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested and issues are logged and prioritized consistently.
• Manage the defect log, ensuring issues are resolved, including validation of fixes to ensure the application is bug-free.
