Geop ro s , Inc . is searching for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a direct hire opportunity . As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities :

  • Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Document financial transactions by entering the correct account information.
  • Double check work and takes detailed notes.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
  • Leads and participates in special projects as required.
  • Complies with federal, state, local and possibly international financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares special, internal and external, financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Assists with weekly cash flow reports.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills .
  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems .
  • Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports .
  • A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers .
Experience:
  • Bachelor or Master ' s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience with ACCPAC accounting software a plus
  • Must be proficient with OUTLOOK, WORD, and EXCEL
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities both domestic and international is a plus
