This position will frequent multiple Methodist locations with the primary being Nebraska Methodist Hospital.

The Manager Business Partner plays a pivotal role in supporting HR operations for customer groups, while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of HR Advisors. This position is responsible for supporting and executing system-wide HR processes, rolling out HR programs and initiatives, analyzing data, and using insights to drive improvements in retention and attrition rates. The role includes a strong focus on supporting and coaching leaders and service executives to manage their employees effectively, increase employee engagement, and promote the employee value proposition.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

  1. Support HR Processes:
    • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to assist with the execution of standard annual HR processes such as performance management, compensation programs, performance reviews, etc.
    • Support the smooth rollout of HR programs and initiatives within the customer group, including employee surveys, HR system implementations and changes, etc.
    • Provide COEs customer feedback for HR processes to ensure customer’s business needs are supported.
  2. HR Systems Support:
    • In collaboration with HRIS, serve as a point of contact for HR systems support within the customer group, ensuring that HRIS tools and systems meet the needs of managers and employees.
    • Partner with HRIS to troubleshoot issues, implement system enhancements, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities related to employee engagement, retention, and attrition.
    • With HR Leader input, prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key HR metrics and proposing actionable insights for improvement.
  4. Retention and Attrition Management:
    • Develop strategies and initiatives to improve employee retention and reduce attrition rates within the customer group.
    • Partner with COEs to implement targeted interventions based on data-driven insights and employee feedback.
  5. Support and Coach Leaders and Service Executives:
    • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and service executives within the customer group on effective people management practices.
    • Collaborate with senior management to enhance employee engagement initiatives and promote the organization's employee value proposition.
    • Provide support on ad-hoc issues as needed.
  6. Customer Group HR Support:
    • Act as the primary HR advisor to the designated customer group, understanding their specific HR needs and providing proactive support and solutions.
    • Convey employee relations issues, performance concerns, and other HR-related matters to COEs and other teams as needed.
  7. Coach and Develop HR Advisors:
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports (HR Advisors), guiding their professional development and ensuring alignment of job activities with organizational goals.
    • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and goal-setting to enhance their effectiveness in supporting their respective customer groups.
  8. Execution of HR Initiatives:
    • Execute HR initiatives and programs driven by COEs, ensuring they are effectively communicated and implemented within the customer group.
    • Monitor the impact of HR initiatives and gather feedback to continuously improve HR service delivery.
    • Participate on HR teams to advance process improvements and strategic initiatives.
  9. Operational Excellence:
    • Under the direction and guidance of HR Leaders, drive operational excellence within the HR team by establishing clear processes, documenting procedures, and leveraging technology to streamline HR operations.
    • Monitor HR metrics and data to identify trends and proactively address issues related to employee engagement, turnover, and performance.
  10. Collaboration and Relationship Building:
    • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leaders, managers, and employees.
    • Collaborate effectively with other HR functions (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, etc.) to deliver integrated HR solutions and enhance overall employee experience.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role required.

License/Certifications

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
