Job Requirements / Description
The Association Manager position will have the following responsibilities:
- Meeting and event planning for medical specialty societies managed by MedChi
- Maintain effective relationships with several medical specialty societies
- Provide staff support to help manage the daily operations
- Bookkeeping, budget, and fiscal responsibility
- Communicate with Board and Committee Members
- Coordinate and work with others as a team
- Manage timeline and deadlines
- Attend meetings and take minutes
- Various other administrative duties to include answering the phone, copying, data entry, mail and coordinating meetings
The candidate should have the following qualifications:
- BA or BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a health care organization or a non-profit professional association
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Able to produce professional level written materials
- Experience working with an association management system
- Efficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work nights and weekends to attend meetings
