As our Account Director, you will…

Oversee and lead all account management processes. You will monitor, direct, and motivate day-to-day interactions between the account team and clients, actively nurturing strong relationships with existing and possible clients. This role combines strategic and hands-on experience by delivering engaging, passionate outstanding ideas and work. You will work closely with the account team to drive tactical projects through the agency and meet delivery requirements/deadlines. You will also act as a senior solution-oriented manager who thrives on developing lasting relationships between the client and agency teams. This position involves consistent client contact and operates at a high level in all aspects of account management.

Be Accountable and Responsible

Core functional responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Account Management team
  • Responsible for creating relationships with senior clients to facilitate the overall needs of the client and agency
  • Utilize experience to identify additional business needs and implement solutions
  • Incorporate senior staff from account management with other departments as project objectives or issues warrant
  • Manage and grow a team as a mentor and trusted advisor to account team
  • Maintains working knowledge of MERGE’s solutions and resources and recognizes/acts upon opportunities.

These are the qualifications we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of Life Science account management experience within an advertising environment with traditional and digital channels spanning both HCP and patient audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience
  • Strong media strategy and execution experience is highly valuable on this account
  • Ability to evaluate competitive communications across categories, consumer, product, cultural trends, etc.
  • Willingness to roll up your in a highly collaborative environment
  • Advanced client management skills, especially as it relates to setting and managing client expectations
  • Superior professional communication and presentation skills
  • Commitment to the client, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving ability

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00

Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training, and experience. MERGE’s career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role and are promoted to the next level, generally during salary review cycles that are posted in the employee handbook.
