About Trivalent Investments: Trivalent Investments (an investment franchise of Victory Capital) has been dedicated to international equity investing since 1998 and employs an investment process that combines a quantitative framework with fundamental analysis to seek to drive excess returns over time.
General Summary and Purpose: The primary role of the Associate Portfolio Specialist (APS) is to support the team in client service, reporting, and quantitative research projects. The APS will develop a deep understanding of the team's investment philosophy, process, and approach.
You will report to the Chief Investment Officer.
You Will:
- Be a conduit between our investment team and all parties.
- Build and cultivate relationships with clients, consultants, prospects, and other internal Victory teams.
- Play an important role in quarter-end reporting, including contributing to commentaries, client surveys, and due diligence questionnaires.
- Prepare presentation materials for clients and prospects and may evolve to include presenting investment results, ideas, and research.
- Manage reporting deadlines and collaborate with our internal contacts who play a role in quarter-end reporting including sales, marketing, and RFP teams.
- Attend portfolio review meetings to understand rationale for investment decisions and manage action items.
- Analyze the competitive landscape to identify Trivalent's advantages relative to the peer group.
- Develop an understanding of Trivalent's proprietary models and help support the team's quantitative platform.
- Help with quantitative research and enhancement/automation projects, which will include in-depth data analysis and backtesting.
- Establish a foundation of knowledge around Responsible Investing.
- Help create insights to educate institutional clients and prospects.
You Have:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- 1-3 years relevant work experience in investment management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Genuine interest in capital markets and desire to pursue the CFA designation.
- Experience with programming or ability to work with databases.
- Working knowledge of FactSet or Bloomberg a plus.
- A desire to work in a collaborative small company environment with the ability to self-teach on new projects.
- A history of identifying challenges and finding solutions/maximizing efficiencies.
