About The Team
In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments team builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all TikTok's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide.
What You'll Do
As a Product Manager specializing in Merchant Onboarding and Compliance, you will be at the forefront of architecting solutions for KYC/KYB, AML compliance, merchant due diligence, risk management, and payment risk detection. By shaping the vision, crafting products, and guiding their realization, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the merchant onboarding journey.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Architect and implement a visionary product roadmap for a seamless merchant onboarding experience.
- Product Design and Implementation: Manage the entirety of Merchant Onboarding product vertical, encompassing KYC/KYB onboarding, rigorous due diligence protocols, and transaction monitoring rules and mechanisms for AML, CTF, and sanctions adherence.
- Collaborative Product Development: Partner closely with UI/UX designers, engineers, QA, and cross-functional teams to translate product strategies into tangible outcomes.
- Business & Compliance Alignment: Foster strong relations with Business Units, Compliance, Data Sciences, and Fraud & Loss Prevention teams, ensuring product goals mirror business aspirations.
- Performance Analytics: Provide critical insights into product performance, understand seller behaviors, and champion strategic growth avenues.
- Research & Investigations: Lead investigative endeavors on potentially suspicious clients, upholding confidentiality and compliance standards of the highest caliber.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management in Consumer-Facing mobile or web Internet companies.
- Broad technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, algorithms, OCR and ASR, etc.
- Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and driving innovation on behalf of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to evaluate assumptions, make recommendations and decisions, and drive execution.
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while balancing multiple responsibilities, scoping projects, evaluating priorities, and effectively working well within a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in merchant onboarding with concentration on KYC/KYB, UBO, AML and onboarding due diligence investigation, familiar with multiple local regulators, advanced certification in eCommerce is a plus.
- Payments experience – deeply understand and have worked on one or multiple payments rails, understand the key participants in a payment ecosystem and the modules of money movement like authorization, charge, settlement, returns, refunds etc.
- Experience with Transaction Monitoring, Screening, Financial Investigations or similar disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and audience.
- Flexible and experienced in project management, can lead and operate multiple project streams confidently.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $122360 - $246400 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
