Duties included but are not limited to:Attend all meetings of City CouncilMake a fair and accurate record of all City Council proceedings in accordance with the laws of the State of OhioMaintain accurate records of all ordinances, resolutions and City Council RulesJournalize City Council meetings, ordinances and resolutions, and properly distribute copies of the sameMake available, for viewing during regular Municipal business office hours, all ordinances, resolutions and Council minutesPrepare City Council Committee agendas and reports/minutesDraft correspondence and respond to in-coming communicationsMaintain City Council meeting schedulesPerform any other duties which may be prescribed by City Council or the laws of the State of OhioPerform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing, and data entryMaintain confidentiality of sensitive informationKnowledge of and Demonstrated Skills Required:- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.- Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Minimum Qualifications:Must have high school diploma or equivalentMust have valid Ohio Driver's LicensePrevious experience as a clerk or in an office setting is preferred
