Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a high performing and detail-oriented individual with Housing and Government Regulatory experience to assist attorneys on the Affordable Development Housing Team in our BALTIMORE OR WASHINGTON, DC OFFICE.
Required Skills
- Significant experience with title and survey review, due diligence review and tracking, UCC searches/filings and organizing pre-closing and closing documentation.
- Experience with HUD transactions is not required but strongly preferred.
- Experience with low-income housing tax credits would also be a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly excellent technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as with a team and with clients.
- Intermediate-level skills working with Microsoft Office applications, document management systems and time-keeping software.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate for this position will have a college degree and 5+ years real estate experience with a law firm, title company, commercial lender or other related entity. Title, plat, and survey review experience are required.
