Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a high performing and detail-oriented individual with Housing and Government Regulatory experience to assist attorneys on the Affordable Development Housing Team in our BALTIMORE OR WASHINGTON, DC OFFICE.

Required Skills

  1. Significant experience with title and survey review, due diligence review and tracking, UCC searches/filings and organizing pre-closing and closing documentation.
  2. Experience with HUD transactions is not required but strongly preferred.
  3. Experience with low-income housing tax credits would also be a plus.
  4. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly excellent technical writing skills.
  6. Ability to work independently, as well as with a team and with clients.
  7. Intermediate-level skills working with Microsoft Office applications, document management systems and time-keeping software.
  8. Must be able to work overtime when needed.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate for this position will have a college degree and 5+ years real estate experience with a law firm, title company, commercial lender or other related entity. Title, plat, and survey review experience are required.
