Role : Electro/Mechanical Technician

Salary : 60-80K (must be justified by years of experience)
Bonus : possible discretionary bonus (2 months of salary)
Shift : M-F 8-5 PM EST
PTO : 2 weeks of vacation immediately

Team:
- US team: 20 people
- Technician team: 9 people
Internal Notes:
- Need someone who can be trained easily and also eventually train other field technicians
- Must be willing to travel 10-30% of the year to customer sites (company provides travel)
- Experience working on printing, packaging, and mailing devices is highly preferred
- Other preferred industries:
- Commercial electrical industry could also work - electrical schematics
- Appliance repair industry could also work
Must Haves:
- Strong Technical Background (mechanical systems, mechatronics, or electrical).
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on equipment.
- Years of experience: 8 years is ideal.
- Product/equipment experience: printing, document finishing devices - required.
- Needs experience with break/fix, install, diagnostics.
- Remote IT support experience (phone and video conferences to diagnose issues).
- Valid Driver’s license and Passport.
Plusses:
- Technical background in the digital printing or document finishing industry, mailing systems or packaging industry will be helpful.
- Any exposure to AI applications a plus.
Travel:
- Ability to travel to customer sites in North America to provide On-Site Escalation support, training, or installation support with short notice. Amount of travel will vary but is expected up to 30% in peak periods. Travel and hotel arrangements will be provided.

Insight Global is looking for an Electro/Mechanical Technician This person will be part of a small, growing business centered on designing and delivering high-tech industry solutions that is committed to provide the best customer satisfaction in our industry.
Responsibilities:
· Field Escalation Phone Support/Software reporting system to our customers field engineers - able to apply logical trouble shooting, superior product knowledge and strong customer management skills to resolve the root cause of problems under potentially stressful situations for both existing and newly launched products.
· On-site support to our dealers and partners for installations and technical escalations not resolved through phone support. Providing both strong technical skills as well as high levels of professionalism as we also represent our dealers and partners finishing inline/offline solutions, mailing systems, and packaging equipment.
· Product Demonstration to prospective clients either live at our Customer Support Center or through remote methods (recorded or live / streaming). Demonstrating superior product knowledge and communication & presentation skills to articulate product strengths, and more importantly properly set customer expectations.
