GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The Grant Management Accountant is responsible for providing support for grant, contract, and project accounting, completion of the close, and ensuring that the related activity has been recorded and reported correctly.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
This position offers a base salary of $61,500.00 up to $82,000.00 Final salary is determined by required qualifications, experience, and education for this role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Understanding of the end-to-end grant management process
- Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Flexible to new ideas and ways of accomplishing tasks
- Functional knowledge of the general accounting process
- Highly organized
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Commitment to the YMCA character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility is required
- Provide support for grant, contract, and project activities
- Assist in the month end, quarter end and the year-end close process
- Prepare, code and record journal entries in GL
- Review grant, contract, and project balances and activity
- Collect and/or prepare appropriate supporting documents for all grant, contract, and project activity
- Prepare and distribute grant, contract, and project invoices for client YMCAs as required
- Obtain approval for activities per policies and procedures
- Provide audit support specific to general accounting
- Prepare grant, contract, and project reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
