Position Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Specialist will support the organization's marketing and communications efforts by coordinating marketing projects and campaigns, events, and media opportunities. This role will involve day-to-day operations of the marketing and communications department, including assisting with digital and traditional media initiatives, content creation, and project coordination. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of multi-channel marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive engagement.
- Coordinate marketing projects and campaigns from concept through execution and analysis.
- Support marketing efforts for key organizational events, including annual conventions and specialized programs.
- Manage content updates for websites and digital platforms to ensure an engaging user experience.
- Assist with creating marketing materials such as email and social media campaigns, promotional items, and digital content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new marketing initiatives and evaluate their success.
- Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to assess performance and recommend improvements.
- Provide project and database management support, including coordinating meetings and tracking deadlines and deliverables.
- Contribute to internal and external communication strategies, including social media management and content creation.
- Assist in media relations and outreach efforts
- Coordinate media relations, including press conferences, media tracking, and responses.
- Support the production of integrated marketing and communications reports.
- Assist with logistics for events, sponsor fulfillment, and advertising opportunities.
- Support the Convention Planning Committee in marketing and communications efforts for the organization's annual conference, ensuring consistency in branding and promotional efforts.
- Manage sponsor fulfillment requests by coordinating deadlines, ad specs, and website commitments.
- Research and organize convention giveaways, including pricing, availability, and logistics.
- Facilitate convention advertising, researching opportunities and managing artwork submissions.
- Assist with the press conference, including agenda creation and media credential management.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, including campaign management.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Experience in digital marketing, event promotion, and content creation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Creative thinker with a passion for advancing the organization's mission.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
