THE OPPORTUNITY:

This position is for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing career opportunities in Information Technology (IT). The IT intern may assume roles including application development, support, business requirement analysis, and testing. The IT Intern will be part of a development team and will gain experience with professional software development processes and best practices and will have a hands-on role in the team’s project and support activities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Address defects or build new features using different development languages and frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews and deploy code changes through different environments using CI/CD processes.
  • Prepare and execute test plans to ensure solutions work as expected; document results, and communicate issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by a supervisor.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university preferably in an information technology related field of study such as computer science, information science, computer engineering, or software engineering.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of database structure, schema design, and application development concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, and be flexible with workload and assignments.
  • Ability to exercise judgment.
