Position: Cloud Finops consultant
Location: Frisco TX (Remote will also work)
Rate: $50/hr. on W2 OR $60/hr c2c
Assist FinOps practitioner bridge business, engineering and finance teams, enabling evidence-based decisions in near-real time to help optimize cloud use and increase business value. Focus on establishing a FinOps culture and enabling stakeholder teams by demonstrating a working knowledge of the Principles and Capabilities of the FinOps Framework, a prescriptive model of actions and best practices. Deep technical expertise in Clienture primarily and AWS secondly.
Helping Engineering teams adopting FinOps use cost and resource use as a metric similarly to other performance metrics. Consider the efficient design and use of resources as they Clienthitect, design, and build IT systems in the cloud. Responsible for their cloud use, and perform activities like selecting appropriate resource locations, rightsizing (the process of resizing cloud resources to better match the workload requirements), workload management (only running resources when they are needed), removing unused resources, and monitoring for spending anomalies.
