Summary:

The BackCounter Parts Specialist provides the Parts Department direct contact with Technicians regarding parts requests. Primary responsibilities are selling to wholesale accounts and to the service team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Technicians are handled as quickly as possible while providing personalized service and the attention needed to build desirable relationships with our Technicians.
  • Maintain and monitor existing wholesale accounts.
  • Solicit and establish new wholesale accounts.
  • Record all lost sales in the ADP system.
  • Ensure that any returns are made in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with the overall level of service provided by the Parts Department.
  • Advise Parts Director of any issues impacting inventory security, sales, profitability, or customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years automobile dealership parts experience
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of specific parts catalogs
  • Proficiency in ADP systems
  • High sense of urgency
  • Customer Service skills

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, use hands to operate a keyboard and telephone, ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs. when needed.
