About The Role

We are looking for a Sr. UX Developer with a strong background in React, Redux, and modern web technologies. This person will support the team in the Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle and will work with our business partners to identify requirements and will design and implement scalable, open solutions. The ideal candidate not only knows how to write code, but also knows how to identify and solve problems relating to scale, security, and analytics. This position requires a deep technical understanding of software development best practices, coding standards, and governance.

A Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities

  1. Work with the UX application team to estimate complexity and advise about the feasibility of tasks and features.
  2. Create technical specifications based on functional requirements.
  3. Build out features in a cross-functional, agile environment in which all functions are involved in various levels throughout the feature creation and ideation process.
  4. Perform basic support and debugging in test and production environments.
  5. Maintain and repair existing applications.
  6. Act as a key contributor in an agile sprint team, performing sprints on new and existing applications.
  7. Identify and escalate problems.
  8. Develop highly secure, public facing applications with performance and security as a priority.
  9. Develop scalable and efficient ReactJS applications, utilizing reusable and readable components.

What You Will Need

  1. Extensive expertise in React, Redux, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  2. Strong understanding of front-end development principles, including responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  3. Proven experience in writing unit tests using Jest or similar testing frameworks.
  4. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. Sound knowledge of RESTful API Principles.
  7. Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  1. Familiarity with Sass, Redux-Observables and Epics, Styled-Components, and Storybook.
  2. Experience with Typescript.
  3. Experience in building mobile-responsive web applications.
  4. Experience working in Digital Media based environments.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $121,500.00-160,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
