Based in Oakland, CA, we partner with independent stylists nationwide by offering them a wide selection of top-tier Mayvenn hair products for their customers, loads of quality content for their social media platforms, and digital solutions to serve as their trusted business partners. What You'll Do:
- Manage All Platforms: You’ll be responsible for overseeing our social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.), ensuring they’re fresh, engaging, and on-brand.
- Content Creation & Curation: Craft compelling, shareable posts (graphics, videos, captions) that resonate with our audience of stylists and inspire engagement.
- Community Engagement: Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions to keep the conversation going and foster meaningful relationships with our community.
- Customer Support: Be the first point of contact for customer queries on social media, helping to resolve issues and providing stellar support.
- Trendspotting: Stay on top of the latest social media trends and tools to keep our brand innovative and relevant.
- Collaborate: Work closely with marketing, design, and product teams to bring campaigns to life and ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
- Develop collabs and partnerships with influencers and brands for cross-promotion
- Assist and contribute to brand content creation, i.e. photoshoots, campaigns, etc.
Requirements

- Social Media Savvy: You know your way around all the major platforms and can navigate both established and emerging networks.
- Proficient in using social media scheduling and automation platforms for maximum efficiency.
- Curiosity and drive to understand and learn how to use AI to enhance the experiences of our community, and maximize your productivity
- Excellent Communicator: Your communication is always on point, whether it’s a witty caption or handling customer inquiries with empathy.
- Team Player: You work well with others, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are ready to collaborate and innovate.
- Cultural Awareness: You’re tapped into the cultural pulse and understand how to connect with audiences authentically and meaningfully.
- You LOVE hair and beauty!
- In-Office / Flexible: We’re looking for someone local who wants to come into the office, work with a tight-knit team, develop their skill sets, and grow their leadership abilities. In this role, you will get hands-on experience working directly with the CEO/Founders and department heads, giving you real insight and opportunities to grow across different areas of the business!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or as a freelancer
- Strong understanding of social media KPIs and analytics tools
- Ability to create and edit content using tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with customer support on social media is a plus
- An interest in beauty, hair, and/or extensions
