How will you contribute to the team?

  • Prepares detailed design documents, evaluation reports, and engineering studies.
  • Provides technical oversight of design staff and team members for water and wastewater pipeline and pump station projects.
  • Defines scope and budget of projects, with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and executing project assignments.
  • Selects problems for investigation, developing novel approaches and solutions to technical problems.
  • Conducts quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, evaluations, and specifications developed by design staff for accuracy and completeness, performing site inspections and reviews, and conducting or overseeing remedial design work.
  • Provides bid phase and construction phase services.
  • Keeps abreast of state-of-the-art methods and developments in area of specialization.
  • Recommends changes or improvements to plans and programs.
  • May function as the project manager for routine to semi-complex projects.
  • Understands, manages, and maintains client project goals and expectations.
  • Identifies new opportunities and actively pursues work with existing clients.
  • Responsibilities may include marketing, negotiating contracts, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred. Minimum of 10-14 years’ experience in pipeline design for stormwater, potable water distribution, and/or wastewater collection systems. Typical applicant has ten to fourteen years of experience in the following areas: Stormwater management, Water systems, Sanitary sewer systems, Pump stations, and Water/wastewater treatment plants.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, ICPR V-4 or similar, with proven technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Florida P.E. license is required.
