Job Requirements / Description

Responsibilities

  • Support Designer(s) in creating and updating Adobe Illustrator sketches; assist in preparation and updating of design boards and line sheets.
  • Responsible for CAD across all main categories
  • Review samples throughout the product cycles to ensure accurate execution of measurements, quality, and construction
  • Collaborate with head of Design for guidance for best quality and construction execution
  • Sample management; organize, track, and store all samples. Assist in setting up and breaking down samples for meetings.
  • Assist with market research, creative ideas and providing essential design input into relevant collections under direction of design team.
  • Maintain tidiness and organization of the design room, as well as the department’s digital drive.
  • Compose detailed comments including fit photos and illustrations to convey corrections or revisions to vendors
  • Create and update technical sketches in Illustrator
  • Spec and organize samples for fittings and record fit comments
  • Communicate to vendors throughout product sample stages to ensure brand’s aesthetic and quality
  • Monitor and track with a sense of urgency to meet target dates.
  • Create season WIP reports and record receipt of samples and distribute
  • Assists Design team with tech packs and send outs (tracking, sending, receiving, etc.)
  • Maintain seasonal shoe library archive
  • Adhere to seasonal calendar deadlines

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ work experience in the footwear or fashion industry.
  • Ability to follow directions and adaptability to work in a changing work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to multi-task in a deadline driven work environment.
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal with vendors and cross functional teams.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detailed orientated with outstanding follow through with a sense of urgency to hit calendar dates.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross functional teams and able to prioritize.
  • Flexible, positive “can do” attitude with strong work ethics.
  • Full-time onsite position.
