Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be focusing on hospitality clients. You'll be responsible for supporting system upgrades, new builds, transitions, and reflags. Your primary goal will be to establish networks that meet our customers' specific needs. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
- Monitor and maintain network performance and integrity
- Resolve escalated issues by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
- Automate tasks and assess their effectiveness
- Develop, implement, and test security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery)
- Communicate effectively with users as needed
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Propose and implement improvements for network performance, capacity, and scalability
- Mentor team members on technical issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel technology, including PMS, POS, and payment systems
- Strong background in network administration and architecture
- In-depth understanding of network operating systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of access control models and network security
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and mentoring skills
- Willingness to travel (33% of the time)
- Flexibility to work varied days/hours, including some on-call duty

Education:
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Okta:
- Okta Certified Professional
- Okta Certified Administrator
VMware:
- VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization
- VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization
