Scout Solar is actively seeking an experienced and proficient Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the construction of canopies and roof structures designed to support solar panels adhere to the highest quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings.
Set up and weld components for welding according to specifications.
Operate welding equipment, hand tools, forklifts, and boom lifts among others.
Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces.
Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover and fix any flaws.
Maintain welding equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Physical Requirements:
Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Comfort working on elevated platforms and maintaining balance on narrow surfaces.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Proficient use of hands to handle and control welding tools and equipment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a welder.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
Expected hours: 45 per week
