Our client, a boutique law firm in New York City, specializing in representing plaintiffs in complex personal injury cases, is seeking a motivated and experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in handling mesothelioma or other plaintiff personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution, including trial experience.
The Associate Attorney will manage a caseload of mesothelioma/asbestos or other personal injury cases from intake through trial or settlement; Conduct client interviews and maintain regular client communication to ensure understanding of case developments; Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents; Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and attend court appearances and mediations; Collaborate with medical experts, investigators, and other professionals; Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law, with specific experience in mesothelioma or asbestos litigation preferred. Strong litigation skills, including trial experience and familiarity with New York courts required. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team required. Compensation includes salary (130K-145K), a liberal bonus pool, excellent benefits and more!
