Position Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager, Strategic Marketing actively manages the entire line of NeoGenomics Advanced Diagnostics (ADx) products, commercial outreach, competitive landscape and specific trade show & conference activities and is responsible for helping drive profitable revenue growth of the ADx Pharma Services and Informatics business.
The functions of the role include supporting the full life cycle management of the ADx Pharma test menu, including introducing and supporting the launch of new tests and service modalities, as well as data needs, and optimizing existing tests and discontinuing obsolete tests. The role also includes the development of strategic marketing materials for use by the ADx Services sales teams, to further increase sales growth.
The Senior Marketing Manager, Strategic Marketing will work closely with the ADx Sales and Scientific Affairs team to capture and analyze the voice of the customer as well as aid in development of market data, competitive intelligence and literature (including whitepapers) to position NeoGenomics product offerings as well as support the recommendation of new products and enhancement of existing products.
The Senior Marketing Manager, Strategic Marketing will work closely with ADx leadership team to develop messaging and marketing collateral to support the sale of services to ADx Pharma customers. The individual will actively drive the marketing and promotions related to conference and trade show strategy and execution of this strategy through a strong partnership with the Global Marketing team to update and maintain all marketing materials (presentation decks, brochures, white papers, blogs, newsletters, etc.) while also providing up to date competitive intelligence (including pricing) for key growth modalities in support of NeoGenomics’ ADx division and its role in support of the strategy, both within ADx and at an enterprise level.
This is a scientific, strategic, marketing role requiring knowledge of laboratory testing associated with oncology biomarkers, especially molecular-based technologies, along with previous experience selling and/or marketing to Pharma, Academic Medical Centers and IVD manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Lead ADx Pharma positioning through message development, launch plans and content creation and maintenance as well as generate competitive comparisons by collecting competitive information and analyses
- Responsible to develop annual marketing plans, online resources, sales brochures, product technical sheets, test reports, product presentations, social networking content, advertising, and supporting Pharma sales training
- Understand and consolidate market data, trends, pricing customer attitudes and behaviors, and the competitive landscape to maximize current and future opportunities
- Work closely with ADx leadership team (sales and scientific affairs) to keep messaging and competitive positioning relevant
- Promote scientific awareness and reputation by facilitating speakers, webinars, presentations and publications
- Aid in cross functional efforts to capture and integration of the voice of the customer into the current and future product development plans, requiring close collaboration with product development teams and technology modality leads
- Monitoring performance metrics, diagnosing areas for improvement, developing, and implementing recommendations (Prepare reoccurring reports: forecasts, marketing meetings and customer trend analysis)
- Support sales and scientific affairs teams with client interactions, development and formatting of pitch decks, messaging and position
- Participate in sales meetings, seminars, industry conferences, and tradeshows
- Communicates effectively cross-functionally
- Drive meeting generation and facilitation of meeting integration into CRM system
- Works productively and efficiently to achieve company and departmental goals
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or PhD highly preferred; degree in scientific discipline preferred, MBA preferred, or relevant experience
Experience And Qualification Requirements
- 7+ years experience in a professional sales and/or marketing capacity working in the laboratory, clinical diagnostics, IVD or biopharmaceutical industries.
- At least 5+ years in a marketing role, preferably in the laboratory testing or oncology business
- Demonstrated ability of working in a matrix environment and proven ability to work with teams of cross functional individuals
- Proven ability to transfer product insight and value into client value through systematic marketing framework
- Depth of content expertise that would allow for rich discussion with ADx Leadership team, R&D, senior management, pharmaceutical sponsors, academic research centers, IVD manufacturers and alliance partners and key opinion leaders
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, a self-starter
- Proficient in typing and working in MS Office programs.
- Proficient in utilization of Salesforce, including salesforce add ins (Pardot) for marketing purposes, or equivalent program
Travel Required
Travel will be approximately 25%. Some overnight travel may be required.
