What you'll do

  • Develop and implement the product development strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business goals. Set long-term vision and strategy for the product portfolio, ensuring a competitive edge in the market.
  • Identify market opportunities and drive the creation of innovative products that meet member needs.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and post-launch evaluation. Implement robust processes for product planning, development, testing, and release management. Ensure timely and successful delivery of products that meet quality standards and budget constraints.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to drive product success. Work closely with marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment on product goals and strategies. Represent the product development team in executive meetings and provide regular updates on progress and challenges.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights from market research to guide product development decisions and prioritize features and enhancements.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings.
  • Working cross-functionally, leads or participates in organization-wide initiatives and projects. Ensures proper change management amongst teams of responsibility and for changes impacting other areas of the organization.
  • Ensures operational integrity by monitoring adherence to internal policy and procedures and external regulations. Reviews and recommends new policies and procedures that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations. Responsible for responding to internal and external audits related to areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other tasks or functions as required, requested, necessary or prudent from time to time.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

  • Strong desire to work in a purpose-driven organization.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a big picture and pragmatic approach, leading effectively through setting a vision and coaching, motivational techniques, and conflict management.
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role; Proven track record of successfully leading product development teams and delivering innovative products to market.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and guide complex product development processes.
  • Demonstrated capability and passion for developing talent and a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Strong delegation and team building skills with the ability to support a team and the team’s work embracing ownership, accountability, and responsibility.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the senior management level and across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytic, organization, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to lead multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and to work independently.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Demands/Conditions Required:

  • Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
  • Participation in off-hours escalation call tree for triage and troubleshoot of high-priority issues.

Required:

Bachelors

Experience

Required: 5 years in a leadership role; Proven track record of successfully leading product 10 years experience in product development.
