Position Purpose
This position is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient receiving, preserving, stocking, and picking parts in support of MRO, Aircraft Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and Engineering of items sent through Erickson's Warehouse. These functions include the use of the following equipment: parts-picker, forklift, pallet jack, trucks, trailers, foam machine, sealing machine, and ladders.
Position Levels
The Warehouse Associate levels I-III require varying degrees of experience, job knowledge and skill, which are generally acquired through specialized or on-the-job training. This is dependent upon the currently assigned work area. For levels 2 and 3, these positions require specialized knowledge of processes and procedures, as well as time on the job.
LEVEL 1 (149): Applies basic skills while developing some specialized skills in procedures, operations, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment appropriate to work area currently assigned to. Performs routine and/or repetitive tasks with limited decision making required. Generally works under close supervision, has limited experience, and work is performed from within specific limits of established procedures and/or defined instructions. Approaches tasks with a positive attitude and willingness to do the job and to accept constructive critique. Advancement to Level II is based on demonstrated proficiency in all duties and responsibilities in at least two areas of function in the Warehouse. Zero to three years' experience is common.
LEVEL 2 (23011): Applies skills and job knowledge in area of specialization, and may adapt procedures, operations, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet the needs of area of specialization depending upon currently assigned work areas. Displays proficiency in at least 2-3 work areas. May work on non-routine tasks, may train other warehouse personnel, and displays proficiency in resolving issues and making working decisions within area of specialization or responsibility with minimal supervision. Must take initiative in non-production areas: filing, cleaning, crate maintenance, etc. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and have knowledge of applicable SOP's and/or work instructions. Advancement to Level III is based on demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of the job, and successful completion of responsibilities with minimum oversight, along with a positive attitude and willingness to do the job and to accept constructive critique. Four to seven years of experience is preferred.
LEVEL 3 (23012): Regularly works on tasks that are varied and complex. Applies full range of specialized skills and job knowledge. Frequently adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet specialized needs. May train/mentor other warehouse personnel and performs broad and/or focused assignments under general supervision. Provides technical guidance and support to warehouse personnel. Acts as point person for various work areas; originality and ingenuity are often required to help. Employees at this level function with a high degree of autonomy and have a high degree of knowledge and expertise in various work areas, along with a positive attitude and willingness to do the job and to accept constructive critique. Employee must also have deep knowledge of process specifications, applicable SOP's, work instructions and ERP software. Seven or more years of increasingly responsible experience is typical for Level III.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform picking of aircraft parts and supplies (FIFO) functions as assigned to support MRO, Aircraft Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain. This process requires computer work, labeling and packaging/boxing for transportation.
Perform receiving functions as assigned of aircraft parts and supplies to the Warehouse. Validate all parts received and process all necessary paperwork.
Perform preservation functions as assigned of aircraft parts, components, and supplies to prevent corrosion and/or damage for stocking: Labeling, packaging/boxing including sealing and foam machine for inventory identification and control.
Manufacture crates for storage and/or shipping to prevent damage.
Perform stocking functions as assigned of aircraft parts and supplies in warehouse locations.
Perform Cycle Count functions as assigned of parts accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform crate maintenance, when necessary.
Maintain all necessary paperwork for all the above processes.
Perform delivery and pick-up functions safely of aircraft parts and supplies to the various Erickson Facilities, coming to the warehouse for preservation, storage and/or shipping.
Ensure that the work areas are clean and free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and perform safety audits in assigned work areas.
Adhering to AS9100/AS9110 and ISO9001 standards.
Ensure all LMS training stays up to date.
Obtain Medical card (for driving company vehicles) and Airport Security badge, as assigned.
Support all customers.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience preferred in Warehousing Operations and Inventory Control
Experience preferred for operating vehicles and equipment: forklifts, parts pickers (up to 25' height), pallet jacks.
Valid Driver's license, with clean driving record.
Ability to obtain a passport.
Good writing and verbal communication.
Basic knowledge preferred of computers, email, and data entry.
