If you have a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to inspire the same in others, we are looking for an Automation Technician in our Bronx location.This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment within our Beverage Order Release Module (BORM) an automated order-release system for various types of packages that merges them into layers to be palletized per customer order and Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) a software-controlled full pallet storage and retrieval system that supports warehouse loading and picking operations. Equipment includes case and pallet conveyors, automatic palletizers, stretch wrappers, storage/retrieval machines, and labeling units.Main Focus:Operation and fault recovery of automation systems.Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse automation equipment.Perform repairs of all Warehouse automated equipment as needed.Perform breakdown analysis to find the root cause of failure and necessary corrections.Perform general housekeeping of work areas and equipment.Perform upgrades to automated lines with new equipment/technology as required.Assist with outside contractors/mechanics working on assigned equipment.Assist with training and coaching of system personnel.Monitor automated lines for efficiency and diagnostics of system faults.Comply with OSHA and company safety standards and requirements.Technical Experience Needed:Pneumatics/air compressor systems (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).Hydraulics/liquid compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).Basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).Basic network troubleshooting (e.g., IP/node addressing, panel switches).Mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.).Kinematics (e.g., line speed/socket size ratios, etc.).Electronics (e.g., photo sensors, measurement units, VFDs, etc.).SERVO (e.g., intelligent/robotic motors, encoders, etc.).Troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem-solving, etc.)Schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays, fuses, etc.).OEM manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs, etc.).Basic Qualifications:21 years or older.Ability to climb and work comfortably at heights of up to 50 feet for extended periods of time.Availability to potentially work holidays and weekends.Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a technician in high volume automated environment.Knowledge of OSHA and safety requirements.Reliable and detail oriented.Ability to work independently, with a high degree of problem solving and analytical skills.Strong communication skills.Hourly Salary: $31.00-$33.00It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
