Micron Technology is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Product Marketing for our Storage Business Unit (SBU). The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional skills in writing, editing, launch management, and technical marketing!
This role requires a visionary leader who can orchestrate marketing strategies that resonate with our target audience and drive product success and storage brand awareness. In this role, you will manage a dynamic team distributed across the US and Mexico, ensuring seamless coordination to drive exceptional results!
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Build comprehensive marketing plans that align with the strategic goals of the SBU, including product messaging and target audience identification.
Content Creation and Management: Oversee the development of high-quality content, including product brochures, white papers, case studies, and digital assets. Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and drives engagement.
Launch Management: Own the planning and execution of product launches. Develop launch strategies, timelines, and cross-functional coordination to ensure a successful market introduction.
Creative Leadership: Inspire and guide a team of marketers and creatives. Foster an environment that encourages innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, and the development of compelling marketing campaigns.
Collaboration: Work closely with product management, sales, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and cohesion in marketing efforts. Build strong relationships with external partners and customers.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Sales Enablement: Develop and implement comprehensive sales enablement and training strategies that empower the sales team to effectively communicate product value and drive customer engagement, including the development of presentations, product sheets, case studies, and competitive analyses, ensuring that all materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Technical Marketing: Collaborate with technical partners, especially the Data Center Workload Engineering (DCWE) team, to build technical marketing assets that effectively communicate sophisticated technical concepts and product benefits to diverse audiences.
Budget Management: Oversee the product marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all marketing activities reinforce Micron’s brand values and strengthen market presence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Technical education is a plus.
10+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on storage technology, especially SSDs.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of marketing content, including technical assets.
Proven track record of successful product launches and marketing campaign management.
Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and innovate.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data and trends.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM software.
