The Clinical Counselor is a vital component in the rehabilitation process. They are responsible for monitoring clients' safety and well-being.Key Responsibilities:Conducts direct clinical services such as group, individual, and or family therapy with clients on the importance of continued absence from all mood-altering substancesParticipant in an interdisciplinary teamResponsible for the construction of individualized treatment plans for all clientsMeet a minimum requirement of twenty-six hours of direct client care.Maintain a respectful relationship with clientsAlways maintain confidentiality, displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staffComplete all documentation by the end of the business dayMeet all billing requirementsParticipate in staff and state regulatory training as requiredAdhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethicsMaintain a valid driver’s licenseThe Clinical Counselor is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.Key Experience and Education Needed:Bachelor of Arts DegreeMaster’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work preferredLicensed and/or Credentialed CounselorExperience delivering lectures on addiction and conducting group sessions.Substance abuse experience preferred.Appropriate State and Federal ClearancesOther Qualifications to be Considered:Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery-driven service systemKnowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence, and positive cultural identityKnowledge of the 12-Step Recovery ProgramKnowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and familyKnowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addictionKnowledge and competency in problem-solving, stress management, ethics, and team buildingKnowledge of ASAM dimensionsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle crises in a calm and supportive mannerAbility to interact with a multidisciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical healthAbility to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detailAbility to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilitiesAbility to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients servedARC full-time employees enjoy very attractive benefits packages for employees and their families including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a wide array of ancillary insurance products for life’s needs, a 401(k) plan with company matching and to ensure the work-life balance - generous paid vacation, sick, holiday and maternity/paternity leave policies.Come join the ARC team and transform lives anchored in strong family relationships, social responsibility, and meaningful career paths by empowering our nationally recognized crisis to career model while being your B.E.S.T.!Addiction Recovery Care, LLC and its affiliated entities are an equal opportunity employer.ADA Disclaimer: In developing this job description care was taken to include all competencies needed to successfully perform in this position.
