About The Role

As a Workday HR Data Analyst you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive informed business decisions in a fast paced, growth oriented global organization.

This hands-on role will report to the Workday Principal Administrator as part of HR Technology Team. This role will drive HR Data reporting and analytics strategy, data discovery and collection, data security, data modeling, data transformation, data analysis, data visualization, and reporting in support of the organization’s overall HR Data & Reporting objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

Company Data Analysis:

  1. Partner with Business Stakeholders and HR Team, focus on requirements gathering, scoping, mapping, and transforming data, create models to generate insights, improve data integrity and influence a data governance framework across all aspects of Human Resources.
  2. Manipulate large datasets using software tools to extract meaningful insights.
  3. Present/Visualize data in a clear and understandable format for business stakeholders.
  4. Contribute to data governance efforts and maintain data quality and integrity.
  5. Extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources, including but not limited to compensation, performance, recruiting and employee development.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  1. Creates, maintains, and supports a variety of standard reports for ongoing team needs while also collaborating with other team members on a range of reporting needs within Core HR, Compensation, Absence, Performance for HR data and metrics.
  2. Authenticate and interpret data using various techniques, from simple data aggregation to complex statistical analysis.
  3. Develop analysis and reporting capabilities to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Responsible for working on reporting requirements from key stakeholders and incorporating those into custom reports and dashboards within Workday by analyzing business requirements and processes while providing solutions using a consultative approach to understand the system functionality and apply that knowledge to solutioning efficiencies.

Workday Expertise:

  1. Using best practices and Workday product knowledge, proactively identify strategies, risks, and roadmap to meet current and future reporting, program management and analytical requirements.
  2. Leverage your Workday skills to extract, transform, and load data from Workday HCM (Human Capital Management) and other relevant systems.
  3. Create custom/composite reports and dashboards/discovery boards within the Workday to provide insights to stakeholders.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve any data discrepancies or inaccuracies identified in Workday reporting and analytics tools.
  5. Ensure data integrity within Workday and assist with HRIS data audits and cleanup.

Data Security and Privacy:

  1. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  2. Implement access controls and encryption mechanisms to safeguard sensitive data.
  3. Monitor data access and usage to prevent unauthorized disclosures.
  4. Collaborate with IT and legal teams to address data security incidents.

What You Bring:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Human Resources Information Systems, or related field.
  2. 2+ years of statistical or data analysis experience designing custom reports and dashboards using standard Workday reporting functionality such as Report Writer, People Analytics, Worksheets, Discovery Boards, Calculated fields and Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel skills.
  3. Experienced Workday EIB template generation, population, and ability to load data using advanced level Excel skills.
  4. Workday Certified Report Writer, Workday Advanced Compensation, PRISM and BIRT Reporting is a plus.
  5. Ability to extrapolate data to tell a story and help create with tangible action-oriented outcomes.
  6. Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including debugging and analysis of issues.
  7. Curious problem solver who is collaborative, with excellent attention to detail and superior analytical, pragmatism and strong organization skills.
  8. Demonstrated success delivering projects including gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying solutions on time and within budget to meet customer requirements.
  9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can clearly articulate complex messages and requirements while providing a high level of customer service in a friendly, professional manner.
  10. History of working with confidential data is required.
  11. Experience in consulting is a plus.
  12. Have a sense of urgency in task execution, be well organized, strong attention to detail and be able to solve complex issues and be interested in meeting high expectations.
