Job Requirements / Description

The Fabricator II, role is responsible for the assembly and fabrication of PFA and PVDF plastic assemblies used in the manufacturing process. We are looking for two shifts 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. (includes 10% shift differential pay)

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Plastic welding, repair & fabrication welding of rigid thermoplastics
  • Use of conventional lathes on rigid thermoplastics
  • Operate basic shop equipment and machinery
  • Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work and/or fabrication
  • General plastic shop fabrication, welding, cutting, sanding, assembly, and installation.
  • Work as a part of a team to assemble components of a system
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Use measuring devices accurately
  • Identify and weld different plastics
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in a 5S work system
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies correctly
  • Always adheres to KESG’s standards of safety and quality
  • Document safety and quality actions and observations when required
  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Ability to learn quickly, retain information, and reapply new skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise
  • Ability to clarify priorities with lead or supervisor
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to deal with changing priorities daily
  • Ability to work closely with a team of other assemblers
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well in team environments as well as independently
  • Strong verbal, written and effective communication in English

Computer Software and Application Skills:

  • MS Office 365

Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 3-5+ years’ experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, or ability to quickly learn
  • 3-5+ years’ experience assembling and/or fabricating plastic parts
  • 3-5+ years’ experience adhering to Safety and Quality demands while working in a production facility
  • 3-5+ years’ experience welding with plastic materials
  • 3-5+ years’ experience working in a shop environment (i.e. working with hand and power tools)
  • Woodworking skills preferred but not required

Physical Job Requirements:

  • The ability to stand up for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift 30lbs
  • May be asked to work overtime, including some evenings and weekends.



Compensation details: 20-24 Hourly Wage
