This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, you will build launch vehicles, spacecraft, and launch facility systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of and responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and supporting hardware testing that meets Blue Origin's program requirements. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

- First: Monday - Thursday (5 am - 3:30 pm)
- Second: Monday - Thursday (3 pm - 1:30 am)

- Work directly with a small team operating and maintaining the environmental test equipment used for the development and acceptance testing of flight hardware.
- Conduct hands-on environmental stress screening (thermal, vibration, and pressure) on flight hardware by company-outlined procedures.
- Assist with installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of vibration tables, vacuum chambers, and other test equipment.
- Assisting with process documentation and controls
- Perform testing and certification of the test equipment.
- Coordinate with test engineers and engage with management on daily test activities.
- Clean machines, equipment, and work areas by 5S standards and management guidance.
- Setup and safely operate high energy systems (e.g., high-pressure gas)
- Conduct and/or oversee several test projects simultaneously while supporting operations schedules.
- Configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation per test plans and standards.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in related tasks.
- 2 years of environmental test experience or exposure to at least one of the following: Inspection, Specification Performance, Leakage, Shock, Vibe, Static Load, Thermal Cycle, Thermal Vacuum, Environments other than Air, Pressure, and Proof.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills including work prioritization, scheduling, and providing succinct status reports.
- Ability to self-start, find clarity in ambiguous situations, earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Knowledge/experience in manufacturing and test processes and procedures.
- Strong ability to comprehend technical work instructions.
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrated familiarity with data acquisition systems, data analysis, and data processing.
- Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations.
- Experience with drawings, shop orders, and detailed work instructions.
- Experience with test electronic, hydrostatic, and pneumatic test equipment.
- Experience with various types of gages, instruments, and measuring devices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically able to climb ladders and stairs and lift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durations.

- Associate degree in a relevant field
- Overhead crane and rigging experience.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Non-conformance systems, Ticketed request systems, and order scheduling systems
- Experience using and maintaining calibrated equipment.
- Experience with GSE/Fittings
- Ability to utilize test instrumentation and control components: pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, load cells, relays, and solenoid valves, preferred.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and reports.
- Experience using test instrumentation and control components.
- Familiarity with National Instruments (LabVIEW / Test Stand)
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $29.03-$40.65
