Physicians Surgical Network Affiliates are looking for a full-time Specialist to join our team in Irving. PSN Affiliates, manages surgery centers throughout Texas and is looking for talented nurses to partner with to give superior patient care.
Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred, preferably in healthcare field
  • Minimum of three years related experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience with Patient Accounting, Artiva/Collections, Meditech, and Smart software is highly desirable.
  • Great oral and written communication skills

Position Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing Charge Description Master (CDM) updates and changes under the direction of the Revenue Integrity Manager. Maintains the CDM with a focus on accuracy, revenue cycle integrity, and compliance with third-party payor requirements. Assists with charge capture, billing, and compliance issues in accordance with government regulations. Facilitates maintenance of the CDM through additions, deletions, or modifications to line-item charges. Works independently; exercises discretion and judgment; makes decisions regarding the CDM after comparing and evaluating possible courses of action; formulates, affects, interprets, and implements management policies and operating practices; prioritizes and manages multiple tasks to meet deadlines; seeks guidance from management as needed to clarify assignments or requests, ask questions, or seek additional information.

Position Responsibilities

  • Analyze all facility and Supply Chain or other requests for additions, modifications, and inactivation’s to client facility chargemasters as compared to client and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain daily workflow approvals or rejections of these submissions.
  • Ensure all approved requests are entered accurately and timely into the client Health Information System (HIS) and that the entries flow from the client HIS to the Patient Accounting system.
  • Analyze chargemaster standard exception reports, according to the frequency required by policy, and perform associated analyses and necessary updates.
  • Under the direction of the Revenue Integrity Manager, assist in the coordination of annual pricing and coding updates
  • Assist with monitoring of all client facility chargemasters to ensure compliance with federal, state, and client specific standards.
  • Usage Reporting
  • Item creation and change reporting and review
  • Participate in chargemaster standardization projects
  • Research billing issue requests
  • Work with coding on charging issues
  • Must be able to analyze and solve problems quickly and thoroughly.
  • Can work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Able to maintain a professional attitude.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and adhere to all policies, procedures, and HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned
